Vince Wilfork Reveals Patriots Didn’t Give Rob Gronkowski Hard Time Over BiBi Jones Story

When you catch one of your friends out with a pretty girl, you might give him a hard time about it and ask him for details. That's what friends are for, right?

Yet, Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork didn't give Gronkowski any grief over his heavily publicized hang-out session with BiBi Jones (which was apparently just that, and nothing more).

"We didn't [give him grief]," said Wilfork in an interview on The Dan Patrick Show, which drew a very disappointed reaction from host Dan Patrick. "We're all about playing football around here, and it was just one of those things … you'd probably have to ask some of his tight end buddies on the offensive side of the ball, but defensively we didn't pay it much attention."

Gronkowski spent much of his session with the media following the encounter explaining his feelings, saying that he didn't intend to "hurt the reputation" of the Patriots or of owner Robert Kraft.

But the Patriots were so preoccupied with preparing for the Steelers that Wilfork didn't even think twice about it.

"We're always so focused on doing what we have to do," said Wilfork, "and sometimes we're separated, so the offense probably said something about it, but I didn't pay it any attention."
