FOXBORO, Mass. — Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker said he's good to go for Sunday's game against the Giants after suffering a neck injury that caused him to miss one practice this week.

Welker was on the wrong end of a high hit from Steelers safety Troy Polamalu, and New England's leading receiver sat out Wednesday's practice. He returned for Thursday's full-pads session and practiced again Friday.

"I'm feeling good," Welker said. "I'm looking forward to this weekend."

Welker leads the NFL with 57 receptions, 82 targets and 117.7 yards per game. He is tied for second with six receiving touchdowns.

Welker is also no stranger to big hits, so he has taken the injury in stride and won't have a problem suiting up Sunday.

"I think any time you play in a game in the National Football League, you're going to have your bumps and bruises," Welker said. "Some things take an extra day, and some take longer, some take less. You just have to monitor it and move on."
