FOXBORO, Mass. — Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker has gone through a tough stretch with injuries over the last few weeks, but he's not worried about his status for Monday's game against the Chiefs.

Welker hurt his neck against the Steelers, his rib against the Giants and his knee against the Jets. He's been on the injury report with three different ailments in three weeks.

"I feel all right," Welker said Friday. "I think everybody goes through different things through the season, and you just have to manage them and get ready the best you can."

Welker's statistical production has dipped over the last three games, when he has caught 21 passes (7.0 per game) for 221 yards (73.7 yards per game), and he hasn't reached the end zone. In the previous six games, Welker had 51 receptions (8.5), 785 yards (130.8) and six touchdowns.

Welker wouldn't really get into the knee injury that limited him in practice this week — not that his secrecy would be a surprise — but only mentioned he's doing what he can to get ready for the Chiefs.

"That's something that we really don't talk about around here," Welker said in regard to injuries. "I'm just getting ready and getting ready for the game this weekend."
