Vote: Is Penn State-Nebraska Game the Biggest Event in Sports World This Weekend?Got nothing going on this weekend? Perfect, keep it that way, because there’s plenty to watch in the wide world of sports.

Unlike your college years when the weekend began on Tuesday, this sports-filled weekend starts on Friday night when UNC takes on Michigan State in the Quicken Loans Carrier Classic at 7 p.m. Sparty and the Heels will battle it out aboard the USS Carl Vinson.

Saturday is a big day, as well, as Penn State hosts Nebraska just days after the Jerry Sandusky scandal broke. It will be interesting to see how the fans, players and staff react to the wild week that was. In other college football action, No. 6 Oregon travels to Stanford to take on the No. 3-ranked Cardinal. All eyes on Andrew Luck.

Just a few hours later, UFC will debut on a national audience when the UFC heavyweight championship goes up for grabs on Fox. Reigning champion Cain Velasquez will battle challenger Junior Dos Santos at 9 p.m. ET. Not enough violence? Perfect, because just hours later in Las Vegas, Manny Pacquiao looks to make a bloody mess of Juan Manuel Marquez. This bout needs no introduction.

Finally, on Sunday evening, the Patriots will be in New Jersey to take on the Jets on Sunday Night Football. The Pats are coming off two straight losses, and a defeat to Rex Ryan and the Jets will crush the spirits of the New England region.
