So, St. Louis lost Albert Pujols to free agency.

Boo-freaking-hoo. Welcome to the ’90s, “Gateway to the West.” Unless you haven’t heard, baseball is a business.

As seen in some photos below, it’s pretty obvious that Cardinals fans weren’t ready for this breakup and aren’t taking his signing with the Angels well.

One fan (and his mom) used his old Pujols uniform as some kindling, Sports Grid points out. Unfortunately, the video has been removed.

The St. Louis Dispatch even told its readers that he “turns his back on” the city.

Meanwhile, another fan turned a simple Pujols jersey into a … well, an image that will be so played out we’ll be sick of it by Opening Day.
