Celtics-Knicks Season Opener Yields Cheapest Secondary Ticket Prices Among Christmas Day Games

The NBA’s return is now just 25 days away and the league will return with three marquee matchups on Christmas Day and the Celtics-Knicks game averages the cheapest ticket price among those three games.

SeatGeek.com, a website specializing in analyzing the secondary ticket market, says tickets for the game between Boston and New York at Madison Square Garden are being resold for an average of $227. That number dwarfs in comparison to the average price for the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers game later in the day of $364.

Tickets to see the Miami Heat watch the Dallas Mavericks receive their championship banner and receive their rings cost $306.

Additionally, the Celtics ($122) and Knicks ($142) average the highest ticket prices in the Atlantic Division.
