The NBA is just about back, and that means that the league's teams must work quickly in order to be ready for the Dec. 25 date that will open the season. That means that among other things, teams will have to consolidate their preseason schedules.

The Celtics will open their regular season on Christmas Day when they take on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, but before they do that, the C's will play a brief two-game exhibition slate.

Boston will open its preseason schedule on Dec. 18 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto when they take on the Raptors. The C's will then host the Raptors on Dec. 21 at TD Garden to wrap up their quick exhibition schedule before the regular season opens.

Celtics tickets are set to go on sale to the public the week of Dec. 12.
