FOXBORO, Mass. — Patriots wide receiver Deion Branch sounded optimistic that he could return to the field Saturday against the Dolphins, but he wasn't willing to commit to an answer.

Branch, who didn't travel to Denver last weekend due to a groin injury, acknowledged Wednesday it was a good sign that he addressed the media (players who aren't healthy enough to play very rarely speak during the week), and he said he's "feeling pretty good."

Branch hasn't missed a single practice since the start of training camp, so it was surprising that he didn't travel to Denver. However, due to his participation in practice, it would indicate the team was erring on the side of caution.

Even still, he said it was tough to have to stay behind to rehab and watch the game at home.

"That's frustrating," Branch said. "I wish I was out there with the guys, but overall, the guys did a great job of going out and getting a victory."
