FOXBORO, Mass. — Patriots cornerback Devin McCourty told NESN.com he is "feeling better" and attended his sixth consecutive practice Thursday after suffering a shoulder injury three weeks ago against the Jets.

It's still unclear whether or not McCourty will be available to play in Sunday's game against the Colts, but it's clear his health has improved and he's closer to getting back on the field than the alternative.

Linebacker Brandon Spikes (knee) and tackle Sebastian Vollmer (ankle/foot, back) were the only two players missing from Thursday's practice, which was held in sweats and shells. Spikes participated on a limited basis Wednesday during the team's walkthrough.

Vollmer didn't participate in Wednesday's walkthrough, and players who have missed walkthroughs in the previous two weeks did not play in the Patriots' ensuing game.
