Fan of HBO's 24/7 won't have to worry about any awkward photo shoot scenes in the season finale next week.

That's because the New York Rangers have waived winger Sean Avery for the second time this season, just days before the team takes on the Flyers in the annual Winter Classic, according to ESPN.

Avery, 31, has three goals in 15 games this season and has been scratched for nine straight.

He was sent to the team's AHL affiliate in Hartford, Conn., during the preseason and made his debut with the big club in November.
