FOXBORO, Mass. — The Broncos' acquisition of defensive lineman Ty Warren hasn't yet worked out on the field, but Denver head coach John Fox has enjoyed his time around the former Patriot.

New England released Warren on July 29, just the second day of training camp, and he signed a two-year contract with the Broncos on Aug. 2. However, Warren tore his triceps early in Denver's camp, and he was placed on injured reserve Sept. 17.

Warren, the 13th overall pick in the 2003 draft, was always a likeable guy who was counted on for his veteran leadership in the New England locker room, and it sounds like that has continued in Denver.

"He's a tremendous young man, and it's unfortunate but he had a triceps injury that was repaired medically," Fox said. "He's in our building every day working hard, and his weight looks good. He's working out really hard to rehab, and we're impressed and looking forward to getting him back on the field next season."
