Which Non-Traditional Boston Pro Sports Event Would You Like to See Most?If Frozen Fenway has taught Bostonians anything, it’s that there’s no limit on when and where the hometown teams can excite the locals. “The crazier the better,” most fans would in fact say in their thick beloved accent.

For the second time in three years, the world’s most famous baseball field will play host to hockey. In 2010, the Fens played host to the NHL Winter Classic, as well as Frozen Fenway collegiate contests. This year, the bandbox will welcome a handful of college and high school games to its hallowed grounds.

But any good sports fan knows that Fenway doesn’t stop at hockey (or baseball, for that matter). Just last year, “America’s Most Beloved Ballpark” was the site of professional soccer, pitting Celtic FC of the Scottish Premier League against Sporting Clube de Portugal. This wasn’t the only “football” to be played on the Fenway pitch, as the American Football League’s Boston Patriots called Fenway Park home from 1963-968 after moving there from Nickerson Field.

While most of us can agree that the Winter Classic was one of the most exciting sporting events this state has ever hosted, one has to wonder where else our beloved teams could partake in such non-traditional events.

Would the B’s taking on the Canadiens at Gillette Stadium pack The Razor?

Would you like to see Tom Brady and the Pats return to the Fenway pitch to take on the hated Jets?

Or, to steal a page out of the North Carolina-Michigan State men’s college basketball playbook, would you like to see the Celtics host the Lakers aboard the USS John F. Kennedy in its “homeport” of Boston docked somewhere inside the city’s beautiful and bustling harbor?
