Artur learned the hard way that Brazilian soccer may not yet be in midseason form. The Confianca SE player was stretchered off the field Tuesday in the opening round of Sao Paulo state championship, and got an up-close and personal look at the man responsible for his welfare.

Brazilian soccer's calendar starts with a series of state competitions that run from January through early May. Professional clubs (at all levels) compete against other teams from within their respective states for local bragging rights.

It's a good thing for Artur that he had his hands on his face when the hillarious moment took place. Other players and even the referee had a good laugh at his expense.

Confianca lost 2-1 to the noted talent factory Internacional.
