Ben Roethlisberger Settles Lake Tahoe Harrah's Sexual Assault CaseBen Roethlisberger has settled the civil lawsuit filed against him by Andrea McNulty in relation to an alleged incident of sexual assault in 2008. However, it is unclear if Roethlisberger paid McNulty as part of the settlement.

McNulty filed the civil lawsuit accusing the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback of rape after an incident in a hotel room at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe casino, where McNulty worked as a host. No criminal charges were pressed at the time, but McNulty did sue in civil court.

“The suit sought general and punitive damages,” reports the the Reno Gazette-Journal, “as well as $380,000 to cover medical expenses for care McNulty claimed she needed to deal with the emotional distress she suffered from the alleged rape.”

Roethlisberger also faced allegations of sexual assault in 2010 by a college student, for which he was suspended six games by the NFL. Roethlisberger was reinstated after sitting out four games then meeting with commisioner Roger Goodell.
