Running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis joined the missing from the Patriots’ Thursday practice at Gillette Stadium.

Green-Ellis was limited earlier in the season with a toe injury, but it’s unclear why he missed Thursday’s session, which was held in sweats and shells on the game field. The team will not release any injury reports during the bye week.

Quarterback Tom Brady (left shoulder), wide receiver Wes Welker (knee), left guard Logan Mankins (knee), right tackle Sebastian Vollmer (foot, back) and offensive lineman Marcus Cannon were also missing for the second straight day.

Brady and Welker are most likely receiving days off to rest. Brady did not participate during the Patriots’ two practices of the regular-season bye week, either.
