Daniel Agger Is Back in Training, LFC Defender Could Play Against Bolton on SaturdayDaniel Agger missed Saturday’s draw against Stoke City with an undisclosed injury. Liverpoolfc.tv reports he is practicing again, and is in contention to start LFC’s next game on Saturday at Bolton Wanderers.

“Agger is okay, aye,” LFC manager Kenny Dalglish said. He did not specify what it was that sidelined Agger in the first place. When asked, Dalglish replied, “I said the injury was on-going last week, so we’ve just got to manage it.”

Agger has been impressive for much the current season, anchoring a defense that has conceded the second fewest goals in the Premier League.

But the Danish stopper has battled injuries throughout his career and this season is no different. He broke two ribs in a September game at Tottenham, which kept him out of action for one month.

He shined for over two months after making his return. His partnership with Martin Skrtel brought stability and consistency to the LFC back line.

The Reds held Stoke scoreless on Saturday without Agger. But it is likely he will re-take his place in the starting 11 if fully fit.
