Minnesota and North Dakota are conference rivals, which usually means things get a little chippy when the two schools meet up on the ice. The action didn't stop after the final whistle on Saturday, though.

After Minnesota downed North Dakota 6-2 in the teams' second matchup in two days, tension began to mount, with players having to be separated by officials at the game's conclusion. The players then came together once again for what is usually a pretty civil occurrence — the postgame handshake.

Yeah, so much for that civility.

North Dakota's Ben Blood shoved Minnesota's Kyle Rau in the midst of the line, resulting in a skirmish between Blood and Seth Ambroz. The refs and coaches were forced to intervene, directing each team to its respective locker room.
