A local photographer passed away this weekend shortly after collapsing while working a game between the University of Massachusetts and University of Vermont game at Fenway Park on Saturday.
The Daily Hampshire Gazette reports that Dennis Pause, 50, passed away Saturday after collapsing shortly before the UMass-UVM game while enjoying his lifelong passion of photography at the Frozen Fenway event at Fenway Park.
The Adams, Mass., native specialized in hockey photography and was well-known around New England hockey for his work, which included shooting photos of UMass, a program he followed closely. In addition to photography, Pause worked as a senior physician assistant at Mercy Hospital in Springfield while also serving as an adjunct professor at Springfield College.

He was honored with a moment of silence prior to puck drop for the second game of Saturday's Frozen Fenway doubleheader between the University of New Hampshire and the University of Maine.
He is survived by his wife and two sons.
