NESN to Air Bruins-Flyers Game on Jan. 22NESN will air the Bruins-Flyers game on Sunday, Jan. 22 following the NHL Broadcasting Department's announcement that NBC has selected the Washington at Pittsburgh game for its national broadcast that date.

The Bruins game was initially designated to be televised on NBC, but with the network's decision to instead show the Capitals-Penguins game, the B's will play on NESN.

NESN will provide full pregame coverage leading up to puck drop at 3 p.m. and postgame coverage to follow.

By passing on this game game, NBC will in all likelihood air the Bruins-Sabres matchup in Buffalo on Saturday, April 7 either on its own airwaves or on NBC Sports Network, the channel formerly known as Versus.

Boston and Philadelphia have split their two games so far this season. The Flyers spoiled the Bruins first game of the season back on Oct. 6 with a 2-1 win but the B's earned their revenge with a 6-0 thumping in Philadelphia in December.
