NFL Playoffs TV Schedule for Saturday Features Drew Brees, Three Teams Looking to Undo Recent Failures

Three teams whose recent histories are short of playoff memories get an opportunity to change that Saturday in the NFL playoffs.

The Bengals, Texans and Lions help open wild card weekend, while the seasoned Saints are probably wondering what all the fuss is about over a mere first-round game.

Take a look at Saturday’s matchups below.

Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans
Reliant Stadium, Houston
4:30 p.m. ET, NBC
Tom Hammond, Mike Mayock and Alex Flanagan
Texans (-4)
All-world wide receiver Andre Johnson is back for the first playoff game in the history of the Texans franchise. Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton has surprised many fans by playing as well as any rookie quarterback in leading Cincinnati to its third playoff appearance since 1990.

Detroit Lions at New Orleans Saints
Superdome, New Orleans
8 p.m. ET, NBC
Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth and Michele Tafoya
Saints (-11)
The Lions are saddled with the 22nd-ranked pass defense, which could be a bit of a problem against record-setting passer Drew Brees. The Saints are ranked 30th against the pass and 24th overall, but Lions quarterback Matt Stafford is no Brees.
