Patriots to Play in London Next Season Against Rams, Who Will Play in England for Next Three YearsThe 2-14 St. Louis Rams better improve quickly, otherwise an entire county of football fans may lose interest.

The Rams announced on Friday morning that they have been selected by the NFL to be the home team in a game in London for the next three years. Their first opponent, in the 2012 season, will be the New England Patriots.

The Patriots played in London during the 2009 season, beating the Buccaneers 35-7 in front of more than 84,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.

Next year's game between the Rams and Partiots will take place on Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. EST, which will be 6 p.m. in London. The game will air on CBS.

"This is a tremendous honor for our franchise, the city of St. Louis and our fans throughout the world," Rams owner Stan Kroenke said in a team release. "We are excited about the opportunity to reach new audiences globally. This is a great platform to showcase the city of St. Louis to London and the UK."

General admission tickets will go on sale at the beginning of February.
