Ray Allen Suffers Left Ankle Injury Against Wizards, a Game-Time Decision for Monday’s Game

The Celtics certainly can't afford to lose Ray Allen.

Unfortunately, the C's stared that prospect in the face on Sunday, as Allen appeared to jam his left ankle while trying to avoid a screen set by Washington's Jan Vesely during the second quarter of their game against the Wizards. Allen did not return to the game for the second half.

Fortunately for the C's, X-rays on Allen's ankle were negative, meaning he likely won't miss much time. The veteran said he'll be a game-time decision for Monday's game against Orlando.

Prior to leaving the game, Allen had scored seven points on 3 of 5 shooting.

With both Keyon Dooling and Rajon Rondo already out with injuries, the Celtics are suddenly very thin in the backcourt. E'Twaun Moore and Avery Bradley could receive increased minutes for the injury-plagued C's if Allen is forced to miss any time.
