On Wednesday, the Baltimore Ravens posted a video of Ray Lewis‘ postgame locker room speech from the AFC Championship.
It’s certainly no secret that Lewis is one of the most motivated and passionate players in the NFL, but this speech shows just how much he loves his team and the game they play.
Watching Billy Cundiff literally shank away over five months of hard work and success had to be emotionally crushing for everyone in that locker room. Lewis should have been more upset than most, given this season was probably one of his last in the league.
Yet, Lewis’ faith prevailed as he told teammates the loss was meant to happen, and that they would use it as motivation next year.
Whether the Ravens find continued success next season is a question that can only be answered with time. But so long as Lewis is at the heart of that locker room, the Ravens will never quit.
