The Red Sox agreed to terms with reliever Franklin Morales on a one-year, non-guaranteed contract on Monday, marking the third player the team has avoided arbitration with over the past four days.

The deal is reportedly worth $850,000, according to The Boston Globe's Pete Abraham.

The Sox have agreed to one-year deals with outfielder Ryan Sweeney and catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia, as well, since Friday.

Morales went to the Red Sox in a trade from the Colorado Rockies last May, and tossed 32 1/3 innings over 36 games out of the Boston bullpen. In those 36 games, the lefty went 1-1 with a 3.62 ERA. Overall in 2011, between his time in Boston and out in hitter-friendly Colorado, Morales went 1-2 with a 3.69 ERA in 46 1/3 innings.

Morales, who turns 26 later this month, held opponents scoreless in 28 of the 36 appearances he made with the Sox, and set career highs last season in innings pitched, strikeouts (42) and holds (10).

He figures to pitch middle relief again for Boston in 2012.
