It looks like Roger Clemens could still be playing in the majors with the way he pitched on Saturday afternoon against the current University of Texas team.

The 49-year-old Clemens threw a perfect first inning in the annual Texas Longhorns alumni game, in which he struck out two batters. Afterwards, he talked about his candidacy for Hall of Fame induction in 2013.

“It would be a honor,” Clemens told the Longhorn Network. “I have no control over it. The other guys vote and you have to go through the process there.”

Clemens also mentioned the fact that many pieces of his career are already in Cooperstown as well as how he would not be “shaking hands, saying I’m a Hall of Famer” if he were selected for the honor.
