Theo Epstein, Peter Gammons Headline Hot Stove Cool Music Concert, Which Raises $300,000 for Charity

Theo Epstein returned to Boston this past weekend for the annual Hot Stove Cool Music concert, which raised $300,000 for the Foudation To Be Named Later this year.

Epstein and NESN's Peter Gammons were among those who appeared as part of the event's all-star lineup. The concert, presented by Ipswich, Inc., took place at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston.

"The goal of Hot Stove Cool Music is to bring friends, fans and entertainers together to have fun while supporting our worthy cause and tonight's concert captured the true spirit of the event." Gammons said. "I'm thankful for everyone who came out to make this night a success, raising much-needed funds for disadvantaged youth."

Before the concert, Hot Stove Cool Music teamed up with Ipswitch, Inc., American Airlines and award-winning chefs to provide a hearty meal to homeless families at Horizons For Homeless Children's headquarters in Roxbury.

Since the event's inception in 2000, Hot Stove Cool Music event have raised more than $4 million for the Foundation To Be Named Later and the Jimmy Fund.

Grammy Award-nominated Boston native Susan Tedeschi, legendary Boston rockers The Remains, Grammy Award-winning guitarist Derek Trucks, indie folk band Deer Tick, indie rock bands Mean Creek and Buffalo Tom, garage punk band The Sprained Ankles, indie rocker Kay Hanley, J. Geils Band's Seth Justman, folk rocker Robin Lane and Grammy Award-nominated singer/songwriter Tanya Donelly were among the others at this year's event, which was emceed by actor Mike O'Malley.

Hot Stove Cool Music will continue its fundraising efforts on Jan. 30 with Hot Stove Cool Music Roundtable at Fenway Park's State Street Pavilion. Red Sox general manager Ben Cherington, manager Bobby Valentine, Yankees outfielder Curtis Granderson, Pirates general manager Neal Huntington and others are expected to attend.
