Steven Kampfer continues to bounce around for the B's.

General manager Peter Chiarelli announced on Saturday that the defenseman has been assigned to the club's AHL affiliate in Providence.

Kampfer, who's played in 10 games with Boston this season, spent time with Providence earlier this season, appearing in five games and recording an assist. In his 10 games with the big club, Kampfer recorded two assists.

The 23-year-old played in 38 games with the Bruins last season, recording 5-5-10 totals while registering a plus-9. He was originally drafted by Anaheim in the fourth round of the 2007 draft, and came over to Boston via trade prior to the deadline in 2010.
