Coleen Rooney Extorted for Stolen Camera Memory Card With Photos of Husband Wayne Rooney (Photos)

Coleen Rooney, wife of Manchester United and England star Wayne Rooney, was the subject of a failed blackmail plot. Thieves stole a memory card out of her camera at a 2010 Black Eyed Peas concert, and attempted to extort money from the famous couple in order to return it.

The card reportedly contained photos of Coleen, Wayne and their son Kai Rooney, along with other family and friends. The thieves approached magazines and newspapers, looking to sell it to the highest bidder. They also contacted Wayne Rooney's agent and demanded £5,000 ($7,892).

A police sting operation nabbed the thieves, and the card was returned to Coleen. Few know exactly what was on the card, but the famous couple must have been relieved the photos did not go public.
