Roy Oswalt was expected to make a decision on his baseball future on Thursday. Many expected that meant the free-agent right-hander would sign with a team and report to spring training.

Not so fast.

ESPN.com reports that Oswalt could make a decision Thursday, but that decision may actually be that he's leaning toward waiting around a little while and sign with a team during the season.

Oswalt has apparently told teams of this decision and has informed them that he will continue to throw and work out until he makes a decision — or gets an offer he deems suitable.

The Red Sox, Cardinals and Rangers were all among the teams reportedly interested in signing the 34-year-old.
