Tim Wakefield has decided to call it quits at the age of 45 and the Boston Red Sox ex-knuckleballer announced his retirement plans at a news conference on Friday night.
However, before the announcement took place, fans and teammates alike took it to social media via Twitter to get their messages out about the 19-year veteran pitcher.
