For the majority of Red Sox fans, ticket prices may be high, but seats for this season’s home opener are a little less expensive.

According to SeatGeek.com, when the Sox host the Rays on Friday, April 13, the average ticket price is currently $180.43, down almost $70 from 2011. That cost is also lower than the $193.47 cost in 2010. However, both of those home openers were against the Yankees.

The tickets to the April 20 game against the Yankees, which celebrates the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park, are even more expensive than the ones for the home opener. One ticket to the celebratory game will cost, on average, $225.13, almost 25-percent higher than the game on the 13th.

If you want to fly to Detroit to catch the Sox play the Tigers on April 5, a ticket will only run you about $173.67.
