A few days ago, I asked my followers on Twitter and Facebook to post any questions they might have for me and I picked 10 questions to answer. (I added in a few fun ones at the end.)

Was your question answered?  If you would like to know anything else, please feel free to contact me @JennyDellNESN or www.facebook.com/JennyDellNESN. Thank you!

Describe in detail why you think you landed the “Dream Job” with NESN.
@Kelweng1

It is a “dream job” because of all the components of the position. Not only am I the on-field reporter for the Red Sox, but I get to assist with the pre- and postgame shows on NESN, host The Ultimate Red Sox Show, create content for NESN.com, interact with fans and get the opportunity to work with The Red Sox Foundation and many other charities.

What is it that drove you to want to cover sports out of all media outlets?
Daniel S.Welch

I think it’s important to surround yourself with people who are passionate and dedicated. Working in sports provides just that. Whether you are an athlete, a fan or part of the broadcast crew, the sports industry is filled with devoted individuals. I grew up watching sports and loved being part of a team, so it was a natural decision.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not covering sports or working?
Mehul ‘Zul’ Rana

I spend time with my family and friends, watch games, enjoy cooking, go to the beach and read.

What was your most memorable moment in your broadcasting career?
— @Christopher_Law
, Darren Damiani, Ronald Enos & Ally Davis

Either my interview with Joe Montana at Super Bowl XLV or my first appearance on NESN with Don and Jerry. Both moments I will never forget.

Did you play any sports growing up? If so, what was your favorite?
–@Kev1365

I grew up playing basketball, soccer, softball and taking dance. I started cheerleading in middle school and went on to cheer competitively in high school and college.

Who was your favorite Red Sox player to watch growing up?
— @jeff_Martin

I’ll always remember watching Pedro Martinez dominate the 1999 All Star game at Fenway and I was always fan of Nomar Garciaparra.

What do you think your career path would be if you weren’t in broadcasting?
–Ray Hurtt

I would be involved in the hospitality industry as a chef, restaurant owner, or event planner.

Aside from baseball. Which sport is your favorite to watch?
–@philoliveria4

Football. Huge fan of the NFL.

What do you want to do most in Boston, now that you live here?
–@Daniel_D_Gerard

I have wanted to move to Boston for a long time. The atmosphere, the people, the history, the food … it’s one of a kind. When I am not at Fenway Park, I’m looking forward to trying out all the restaurants in the city.

How do you think the Red Sox will do with the new manger?
–Dan Hoskey

There is excitement and positive energy surrounding the Sox and I believe some of that stems directly from Bobby Valentine. It seems the players have reacted very well to his style of managing.

Bonus

What was your burrito of choice at Bueno y Sano? Pizza of choice at Antonio’s?
Guillermo A. Fuentes & @MatthewCool:

–@GTBepko

Leo’s Restaurant. My first job was waitressing at Leo’s in Southbury. Great food and great owners!

Where did you live when you went to #Umass?
@Kev_Mosier & @Stewball81

I lived in Kennedy my first two years at UMass. Junior year, I moved off campus with five friends to a house on North Pleasant Street, and I lived in a house on McClellan (across from Loose Goose) for the first semester of my senior year.

What’s your sign?
–@NotBobbyV

Leo. July 26!

–@Yazdog8

Graham Cracker. Find it and try it.

Where were you when the #redsox won the ’04 WS?
–@mkerob

I was on campus at UMass, watching the game in a friend’s dorm room in Southwest. The campus was alive that night!

What would be your best advice to someone who is going to be attending UMass as a Sports Management major?
–Kevin Sullivan

Get involved. The university has so much to offer and you should take advantage of the internship opportunities and work experience. Also, take the time to really get to know all of the professors, your classmates and alumni (when possible). Maintain those relationships. It’s amazing how many UMass alumni and Sport Management classmates I have crossed paths with since getting this job. It’s great to have that UMass connection.
