Twitter never ceases to amaze.

The social networking site gives its users access to anyone all around the world, which makes any noteworthy tweets visible to those who may or may not be offended by the message.

Which brings us to the case of Jeremy Shockey and Amani Toomer.

The two former New York Giants took to Twitter to engage in some verbal warfare after Toomer responded to a tweet from New York Daily News columnist Gary Myers.

Myers tweeted that Shockey was interested in returning to the Giants, where the tight end played the first six seasons of his career, all with Toomer as his teammate.

Toomer was not a fan of the news and immediately called out Shockey, saying that he was a “bad teammate” and a “worse person.” Shockey saw the tweet and responded, doing his best to let the former wide receiver know how he felt about the statement.

Shockey continued on the warpath well after Toomer stopped tweeting, attacking his former teammate for his recent divorce, and for a play that resulted in Shockey breaking his leg.
