Kei Kamara and C.J. Sapong celebrated St. Patrick’s day in some style. The Sporting Kansas City duo marked the occasion by performing a choreographed “Riverdance”, goal celebration during Saturday’s game against the New England Revolution.
Kamara scored Kansas City’s second goal in the 39th minute of the contest. Revolution goalkeeper Matt Reis deflected a cross that fell kindly to Kamara, and the 27-year-old took two shots to finish the job.
The first part of Kamara’s celebration was spontaneous, but the second was not. He was joined by Sapong in performing a little jig in front of “the Cauldron” — home to the club’s most vocal supporters.
Sporting K.C. downed the Revolution 3-0 in its home opener.
