Patriots quarterback Ryan Mallett helped some former teammates prepare for the NFL draft, as he returned to Arkansas on Tuesday to throw passes at the Razorbacks' pro day.

Mallett tweeted that he "had fun" at the event, and The Associated Press noted wide receivers Joe Adams, Greg Childs and Jarius Wright caught passes from the former Arkansas star.

Mallett's own pre-draft process in 2011 was one of the most scrutinized in years. Despite displaying some phenomenal tools in college, his draft stock suffered due to countless rumors about his off-field behavior. Mallett appeared to have first-round talent but fell to the Patriots in the third round.

Adams, Childs and Wright are high- to mid-round prospects. Since the Patriots will likely be in the market for a receiver, it's possible that one of them could reunite with Mallett in the future.

The AP reported at least 25 teams attended the workout, but it was unclear if the Patriots were on the list.
