Derrick Rose will either be healthy or smart Thursday night.

The Chicago Bulls point guard said he would "definitely" play in Thursday's game against the Boston Celtics — as long as he felt his strained groin was up to the task. If it did not, Rose would not play.

"Warming up with the team [Thursday]," Rose said, according to the Bulls' official Twitter account. "If I feel good when I'm out there, I'm definitely going to play. If not, we'll be smart."

Rose, the 2010-11 NBA Most Valuable Player, has been out since March 12 with the injury. He has played in only 34 of the first-place Bulls' 55 games this season.
