Jacksonville Jaguars Using Ryan Tannehill as Trade Bait in NFL DraftThe Jacksonville Jaguars are trying to get one over on the in-state rival Miami Dolphins by flaunting their No. 7 pick in order to get Ryan Tannehill.

The Jaguars personnel have insisted on the record that Miami will take Tannehill, something the team has denied. Meanwhile stories have emerged from 'anonymous sources' that Miami owner Stephen Ross is set on taking the quarterback.

There have also been rumors that the Cleveland Browns want him. The Vikings at No. 3 may be willing to trade down so the Browns can get their player.

The Jaguars and Vikings are committed to their draft picks from last year in Blaine Gabbert and Christian Ponder, respectively, which is why they're willing to pass by Tannehill and trade down.

While Tannehill's stock has grown, especially given Miami's interest, he has suddenly emerged as the third best choice in the draft.

The problem is Tannehill, while a great player in college, is simply 'the next quarterback' on the board. The Dolphins will likely take him because he's there and because they may just be desperate enough — and trying to avoid a mutiny by fans if they go another year without trying to solve their QB problem, but he's hardly trade material.

Tanehill is a great athlete, but also an inexperienced quarterback that for a reason has not been put on the same sphere as Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III. Miami is a team that may just risk it with Tannehill. But that's what he is, a risk, and hardly one teams will fight the Dolphins for the right to take.
