BOSTON — The Yankees may not be seeing Daniel Bard.

Before Wednesday's game, Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine hinted that he was considering sliding Jon Lester in Bard's typical place in the rotation, considering Lester only tossed 80 pitches in his start Tuesday night. Bard would be due to pitch Sunday if nothing changes.

"The plan now is to leave everyone in line," Valentine said. "It's a discussion."

Lester, who only lasted two innings, was charged with the loss on Tuesday as the Rangers trounced the Red Sox 18-3.
