Rob Gronkowski has gone to great lengths to earn his reputation as the NFL’s best spiker, throwing down anything and everything he can get his hands on this offseason.

On Saturday, it was Transformers character Megatron who became his latest victim.

Gronk, playing as the Patriots, was facing Megatron in a game of Madden when he tossed a touchdown to No. 87. To celebrate, he picked up the toy Transformer and spiked it to the ground.

The Patriots tight end is in the quarterfinals as a candidate to be featured on the cover of Madden ’13. He’s currently facing Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson — who goes by the nickname Megatron — with voting for the round set to conclude on Wednesday.

Check out Gronkowski scoring a TD on Megatron — and then shattering the robot — in the video below.
