Tebow was sitting a few rows deep in the crowd at Yankee Stadium for Sunday night’s game against the Angels when the camera panned to him and the home crowd met him with a chorus of boos. Only a few fans cheered the sight of Tebow, who was wearing a Yankees hat.
Dwyane Wade, seated behind Tebow, also got boos from the crowd. But Wade — who has an excuse, considering he led the Heat past the Knicks earlier Sunday — was able to draw some cheers by popping a Yankees hat on his head.
Wade later moved down and sat next to Tebow, who looked like he needed a friend.
Monday marks the first day of voluntary offseason workouts for the Jets, which Tebow has said he would attend. He may be wondering whether he’ll have to ask for earplugs to go along with the practice uniforms.
