As the NFL draft winds its way into the deepest reaches of the final rounds, the remaining unpicked players may be feeling down, but not out.

That's because everybody knows that being a late draft pick doesn't guarantee there won't be future success.

Example No. 1 of that will always be Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, taken now famously with the 199th pick in the sixth round of the 2000 draft.

Brady, of course, went on to work his tail off, take over for star quarterback Drew Bledsoe when he was injured, and lead New England to three Super Bowl wins in five years. He's since entered the discussion of the greatest NFL quarterbacks of all time.
