Ubaldo Jimenez used to pitch for the Colorado Rockies. Troy Tulowitzki still plays for the Rockies. Apparently, the two aren’t still good buddies from back in the day.

Some bad blood between the two boiled over on Sunday, when Jimenez, now with the Cleveland Indians, drilled Tulo in the back during a spring training game. Both benches cleared, but no punches were thrown and Tulowitski left the game for a pinch runner immediately following the incident.

After hitting Tulowitzki, Jimenez reportedly pounded his chest and walked towards the Rockies shortstop. At that point, the benches emptied and players from both teams flooded the infield.

Tension began to mount between Jimenez and his former team recently due to comments he’s made about how much better Cleveland is than Colorado. Tulowitzki fired back, telling the Denver Post that if Jimenez was so unhappy about his time with the Rockies, he should have said something to the manager.

Jimenez was not ejected from the game, but the Rockies may approach the commissioner’s office and request a suspension.
