Zdeno Chara Suffered Broken Nose, Tuukka Rask Won’t Require Offseason Surgery

Bruins captain Zdeno Chara may be the biggest man to ever toss on an NHL jersey, but the defenseman couldn’t avoid injury in the first round of the playoffs against the Capitals.

According to the Bruins Twitter account, Chara suffered a broken nose — likely when Alex Ovechkin‘s stick came up high on the captain in Game 6.

In other injury news, goalie Tuukka Rask will not require offseason surgery, as seen in the tweet below.
