Adrian Gonzalez Starting to Get Back on Track After Some Struggles at the PlateEditor’s note: The temperature gauge is a Bill James-created statistic that measures how hot or cold hitters are. We will spotlight Red Sox and opposing team temperatures on game days.

Adrian Gonzalez was searching for answers at the plate heading into Boston's series with Baltimore. And although the Red Sox have dropped the first two games of the series, the All-Star first baseman has represented a bright spot.

Gonzalez is 6-for-10 in the series heading into Sunday's game, raising his temperature to a balmy 82. He also has two runs scored in the series to go with those hits, and his season average is .284.

Gonzalez's home run drought continues, though, as he hasn't gone yard since April 17. He'll have a chance to break that homerless streak Sunday when the Red Sox take their cuts against Tommy Hunter.
