Derek Lowe Speechless After Red Sox Replace Pitcher's Stolen World Series RingDerek Lowe is a very talkative guy, but even he couldn't muster up words following a classy gesture by the Red Sox organization.

John Henry, Larry Lucchino and Tom Werner presented Lowe with a 2004 World Series ring to replace the one that was stolen from his Florida home last month, and the Indians hurler couldn't have been any more pleased.

"You know me, I can talk," Lowe said, according to The Cleveland Plain Dealer. "But it was one of those moments where I didn't even know what to say. It wasn't like they just sent over a batboy or sent it over. All three of them came over to give it to me. They said some really nice things."

Lowe, of course, won the World Series ring as a member of the Red Sox in 2004. He won all three of the team's playoff series-clinching games that year.

The 38-year-old had $90,000 worth of stuff stolen from his home in April, but chief among the items taken was his championship ring. Lowe never expected to have another one given to him upon arriving back in Boston, however.

"They didn't have to do that at all," Lowe said. "I just don't want it to go unnoticed. I knew there was an opportunity for me to buy another one, but to have all three of them there when they gave it to me really meant a lot.

"It's something I'll never forget," Lowe added. "It almost means more this time because it was a selfless act on their part. I just want people to know they did this."

The righty returned to Boston last week to face his former club, and he picked up the win on Thursday night.
