Is Red Sox' Slow Start the Most Surprising in the Majors?As surprising as it is to see teams like the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Nationals get off to hot starts, it's perhaps even more surprising to see which teams are struggling.

The Red Sox are one such team, entering Sunday's clash with the O's at 11-15 and in last place in the American League East. Even more shocking is Boston's 4-9 home record, as Fenway Park is genuinely friendly to the hometown team.

Out West, the Angels have experienced similar troubles, entering Sunday's action at 11-17 and battling with the Seattle Mariners in the AL West cellar.

The National League also has seen some unexpected slow starts, as the Phillies and Marlins are both struggling in the National League East — the division currently being led by the aforementioned Nationals.
