Jacoby Ellsbury's Return, Will Middlebrooks' Spark Among Reasons to Believe Red Sox Can Win World Series (Photos)The Red Sox have won three in a row. But even that winning streak brings Boston’s record to just 15-19, meaning the Sox’ backs are still up against the wall.

However, there’s still plenty of reasons to believe the Red Sox can still make a World Series run in 2012.

Things haven’t exactly been pretty for the hometown team thus far, and there’s still some things that need to be cleaned up in order for the Sox to climb out of the AL East cellar, but Red Sox Nation has learned over the years that you can never stop believing. As Thomas Paine once said, “these are the times that try men’s souls.”

The Red Sox should get a boost when they have a healthy roster, and there are some key players that should experience a turnaround in terms of production. Everything that can go wrong has gone wrong in the early going, but that’s OK. It’s only May, and it’s what we’re talking about in October that really matters.
