The Red Sox will commemorate some of Fenway Park's most memborable moments throughout the month of May as they continue celebrating the park's 100-year anniversary.

"Memorable Moments Month," as the organization has dubbed the commemorative celebration, will honor some of the greatest moments and players in club history during each of Boston's 18 home games throughout the month.

Tom Brunansky and Trot Nixon are among the Red Sox alumni with memorable moments to be celebrated. The organization and the fans will honor each player in pre-game ceremonies on May 10 and May 28, respectively.

On dates that a player returns, the Red Sox will select 10 lucky fans to create a memorable moment of their own as they meet the player to be honored.  Gulf Oil will also donate 100 Red Sox tickets for cancer patients to attend the Memorable Moments games.

Starting May 1, Gulf Oil will also paint a pink ribbon on their Gulf Oil logo in left field at Fenway Park to celebrate the special month.

In addition to celebrating Tim Wakefield's lifetime of moments on "Thanks, Wake Day" on May 15, the Red Sox will honor Brunansky for his division-title-clinching catch in 1990 and Nixon for his walk-off home run against Oakland in the 2003 American League Division Series.

Other players such as Fred Lynn, Jim Rice, Dennis Eckersley, Carlton Fisk, Dwight Evans and Luis Tiant will also be honored on dates throughout the month.
