Tim Wakefield will be honored for all of his contributions to the Red Sox on Tuesday afternoon. The knuckleballer will be celebrated as part of "Thanks Wake Day," with a ceremony sure to be filled with tributes.

The ball club revealed its first tribute late Tuesday morning.

The Sox tweeted out a photo of the Fenway Park outfield grass which has the No. 49 — Wakefield's number during his 17 seasons with the Red Sox — mowed into it.

Fans who have tickets to Tuesday's game are urged to be in their seats by 3:30 p.m. for the Thanks Wake ceremonies.
