The Red Sox are on a bit of a roll right now, and that has nothing to do with their traveling habits. However, they did use a little old school transportation to get to Baltimore from Philadelphia.
The Sox made the short trip up the East Coast from Philly by train following their win on Sunday afternoon over the Phillies.
Luxury airline flights remain the preferred method of travel for major league teams, but it's not totally unusual to see clubs use the train for short trips like the one from Philadelphia to Baltimore.
Red Sox shortstop Mike Aviles certainly didn't mind the change of pace. He sent out this tweet on Sunday night about the travel itinerary.
No plane today, no problem! Train rides are always tight!! #noplanetaketrain
